Grok-1.5 Details and Release

Released on March 28th, Grok-1.5 demonstrated a 50.6% score on the challenging MATH benchmark – a significant boost from Grok-1. Its problem-solving skills were on full display with a 74.1% score on HumanEval. Grok-1.5 also achieved perfect retrieval results on the Needle In A Haystack test with a memory window of up to 128,000 tokens. Plus, it is 16 times larger than previous models. As per its availability, Grok-1.5 will begin rolling out to users on the xAI platform next week, according to the CEO Elon Musk.

Musk also provided an exciting new update – xAI is already training an even more powerful successor, Grok-2. In a tweet, Musk stated that Grok-2 should exceed all current AI on all metrics. Grok-2 is expected to take AI logic and comprehension to an even higher level. 

Currently undergoing intensive training using X.AI’s state-of-the-art infrastructure, it aims to push the boundaries of what’s possible from language models today. Users are eager to test Grok-1.5’s new capabilities next week and will also be excited about the eventual release of Grok-2 later this year.

These models comes in four sizes (1B, 4B, 12B, and 27B) and five precision levels, from full 32-bit down to 4-bit.
